I’ve been sitting here reflecting on what is going on in this country and first I wanted to share that I do not condone violence, looting or breaking the law. And I am angry and frustrated at the blatant murder(s) and very existant racism that has led us to this point.
If you are a white person, try to understand that the majority of y’all don’t, and won’t, have to worry about the same things that black people do. Chances are you won’t ever have a cop pull you over and shoot while you reach for your wallet. Chances are you will never have a cop with his knee on your neck while you scream “I can’t breathe!”. Chances are you will never be beaten while not resisting arrest and already handcuffed. Chances are you won’t fear being taken away from your family.
I know “all lives matter” but right now, we are focused on the lives of our African-American brothers and sisters who are begging for justice and change! Make “all lives matter equally” in every aspect, every day.
Support the movement, support change, support by understanding, by listening and take a stand.
